Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia in the field of water.

By the Presidential Decree No. 567 of 8th of January 2019, the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia in the field of water has been approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation on (I) the protection, improvement and integrated management of water resources, (II) water and wastewater treatment, (III) river basin protection and management, (IV) flood, erosion and drought management, (V) monitoring and management of water quality, (VI) climate change mitigation and adaptation, (VII) coastal zone management, (IX) waterworks including dam building and reservoirs, and (X) modernization of irrigation systems. The Parties may organize joint workshops, training programs, meeting, seminars and study tours. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of scientific and technical information, experts, consultants and research results. A Joint Committee shall be established to ensure the efficient implementation of cooperation activities under this Agreement. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved through negotiation. This Agreement shall be valid for one year and may be extended for successive period of one year unless terminated by written notice requiring six months.
