Abstract
This Agreement sets out a framework for cooperation in the field of forestry between Turkey and Djibouti. The parties agree to cooperate in issues such as: combating desertification, forestry in the arid areas, afforestation, erosion control, sand dune fixation, soil conservation and rehabilitation, arid and semi-arid area afforestation, nursery techniques, game management and wild animal breeding. It is also stated in the Agreement that, the contracting parties will agree to exchange scientific and technical information and documents, researchers, experts and consultants. The contracting parties will also agree to set up training programs, meetings and seminars. A Joint Committee shall be established by the contracting parties. The disputes may be solved by negotiation. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. The agreement is valid for five years and is automatically renewable with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
