Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Islamic Republic of the Pakistan on cooperation in the field of forestry.

By the Decree No. 2017/10947 of the Council of Ministers of 30 October 2017, the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Islamic Republic of the Pakistan on cooperation in the field of forestry has been approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation in the fields of combating desertification, erosion control, flood control, integrated watershed management, forestry, soil conservation, seed and seedling cultivation, production and marketing of non-wood forest products, forest conservation, pest management, forest fire management, protected area management, afforestation, forest rehabilitation, rural development, forest development and ecosystem preservation. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of scientific and technical information and documents, as well as researchers, consultants, experts and personnel, and by development of projects. The Parties may organize training programs, meetings, seminars, joint workshops and study tours. A Joint Committee shall be established. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved through negotiation. This Agreement shall be valid for one year and may be extended for successive periods of one year unless terminated by written notice requiring six months.
