Abstract
By the Decree No. 2017/10364 of the Council of Ministers of 29 May 2017, the Agreement between the Republic of Turkey and the State of Palestine in the field of forestry has been approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation in the field of sustainable forest management, rural development, game management and wild animal breeding, as well as on activities such as afforestation, combating forest fires, combating desertification, soil erosion control, soil conservation and rehabilitation, flood control, watershed improvement, sand dune fixation works, and utilization of non-timber products. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of scientific and technical information, experiences, experts, researchers, consultants and personnel and by preparing and implementing joint projects. The Parties may organize joint workshops, seminars, meetings, training programs, and study tours. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. A Joint Committee will be established. The dispute may be solved through negotiation. This Agreement shall be valid for five years and may be extended or renewed for successive periods of five years with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
