Abstract
This Law revokes and amends some provisions of the Forestry Law No. 6831 as follows: All kinds of products and goods recovered from blazed forests will be managed by the General Directorate of Forestry. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry is authorized to grant license to individuals and companies to erect and install transportation, defense, energy, communication, water, waste water, natural gas, and waste disposal facilities, dams and ponds, health, training and sports facilities on areas classified as state forests. The license could not exceed forty nine years. All facilities and buildings shall be transferred to the General Directorate of Forestry after license expiration, and then used by them or by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry or could be rented to third parties. License could be extended up to ninety nine years with an annual fee that would be determined through current values of the buildings and installations. The Law also defines compensations to be paid to those who participates forest fire fighting efforts. Buildings and facilities on areas subject to National Parks Law No. 2873 could be leased for a period of twenty nine years.
