Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on cooperation in the field of agriculture.

By the Decree No. 2018/11391 of the Council of Ministers of 5 February 2018, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on cooperation in the field of agriculture has been approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation on (i) plant and animal production, (ii) sanitary and phytosanitary measures, (iii) developed irrigation systems, (iv) agro-processing technology, (v) agricultural extension and research, (vi) rural development, and (vii) public-private partnership. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of scientific and technical information, research results, and experts, and by establishing joint activities between their respective institutions. The Parties may organize meetings, training programs, conferences, fairs, exhibitions and seminars. An Agricultural Steering Committee shall be established to monitor the implementation of cooperation activities under this MoU. This MoU may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved through consultation or negotiation. This MoU shall be valid for five years and may be extended for successive period of five years unless terminated by written notice requiring six months.
