Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Islamıc Republic of Mauritania on agricultural cooperation.

By the Presidential Decree No. 572 of 8th of January 2019, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Islamıc Republic of Mauritania on agricultural cooperation has been approved. The Parties agree upon technical cooperation in the field of plant production, seed production, animal husbandry and aquaculture. The Parties shall develop cooperation by (I) exchange of information, experts, and research results in the fields of plant health, animal diseases, veterinary and public health, (II) carrying out joint studies and by (III) promoting joint investments among private sector. The Parties may organize mutual visits, training programs, conferences, and seminars. An Agricultural Steering Committee shall be established to monitor and evaluate the implementation of cooperation activities under this MoU. This MoU may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved through consultation or negotiation. This MoU shall be valid for five years and may be extended for successive period of five years unless terminated by written notice requiring six months.
