Abstract
By the Presidential Decree No. 856 of 25th of March 2019, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Burundi on cooperation in the field of agriculture and livestock has been approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation on (I) plant production, (II) animal husbandry and animal health, (III) sanitary and phytosanitary, (IV) fisheries and aquaculture, (V) agro-processing and food industry, (VI) agricultural research and extension services, (VII) rural development, and (VIII) promoting the private sector. The Parties may organize mutual visits, training programs, seminars, symposia, exhibitions, fairs and conferences. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of information, experts, experiences and scientific and technical documents. An Agricultural Steering Committee shall be established to monitor and evaluate the implementation of cooperation activities under this MoU. This MoU may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved through consultation or negotiation. This MoU shall be valid for five years and may be extended for successive period of five years unless terminated by written notice requiring six months.
