Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of Zambia on cooperation in the field of agriculture.

This MoU is approved by the Presidential Decree No. 9689 dated 21 March 2025. The Parties seek to enhance, strengthen and develop cooperation in accordance with the mutual interests of both countries in the fields of agriculture, food and trade. The Parties will collaborate in the following areas: (i) information sharing on sustainable agriculture practices; (ii) cooperation in agricultural research and development; (iii) plant protection and quarantine; (iv) agricultural mechanization; (v) crop improvement and agronomy; (vi) soil management; (vii) improvement of water harvesting; (viii) the use of ICT in agricultural research and extension; (ix) food security and nutrition; (x) irrigation and irrigation systems; (xi) preparation and development of rural development projects; (xii) soil survey-mapping and land use planning; (xiii) improving market research studies for agricultural commodities. The Parties may make amendments to this MoU by mutual written consent. The disagreement may be solved through consultation and negotiation. This MoU shall be valid for five years and may be extended for successive period of five years unless terminated by written notice requiring six months through diplomatic channels.
