Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Turkey and Hellenic Republic on the cooperation in the field of agriculture.

By the Decree No. 2017/10360 of the Council of Ministers of 29 May 2017, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Turkey and Greece on the cooperation in the field of agriculture has been approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation in the field of plant production, plant protection, food safety, food hygiene, food security, animal husbandry, animal breeding, animal health, fisheries, marketing, agricultural infrastructure and mechanization, modern irrigation systems, and agricultural cooperatives. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of technical information and scientific research, as well as by encouraging activities of joint ventures between the cooperative and private sector in order to increase investments in both countries. The Parties may organize extension and training programs, seminars, symposiums, exhibitions and meetings. This MoU may be amended by mutual written consent. An Agricultural Steering Committee will be established. The dispute may be solved through consultation and negotiation. This MoU shall be valid for five years and be extended automatically for successive periods of five years with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
