Abstract
By the Decree No. 2016/9321 of the Council of Ministers of 3 October 2016, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Uganda on cooperation in the fields of hydrocarbon, mining and minerals has been approved. The Parties agree upon technical cooperation on projects related to development and utilization of hydrocarbon resources, trade of crude oil and petroleum products, field development and operation, and joint development and operation of refineries and petrochemical plants. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of experts and information, as well as by developing projects on design, construction and operation of pipelines. The Parties may organize seminars, conferences, meetings and training programs for staff. A Hydrocarbon and Mining Working Group shall be established. This MoU may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved through consultations. This MoU shall be valid for three years and is automatically renewable with termination rights requiring three months written notice.
