National Youth Employment Strategy 2021 – 2023.

The National Youth Employment Strategy is a national policy with a multi-sectoral approach. The timeframe of this policy is 3 years between 2021 and 2023. The overall objectives of this policy are A. to reduce youth unemployment rate to 17.8% by 2023 (25.3% as of 2020), B. to increase youth labor force participation rate to 46% by 2023 (39.1% as of 2020), and C. to decrease the proportion of young people neither in employment nor in education and training to 20% in 2023 (28.3% as of 2020). Moreover, this policy gives a special emphasis on reducing high rate of unregistered employment in the agricultural sector to overcome the problems both on a sectoral basis and in the social protection system.
