Notification on the import control over consumer goods (Product Safety and Inspection: 2019/12).

This Notification lays out the principles and procedures of safety control over imported consumer goods with the aim of protection of human health, life and property, consumer and the environment. This Notification shall apply to consumer goods listed in Annex-I and subject to release free for circulation. This Notification sets forth provisions on the inspection and permit procedures through an online risk-based inspection system; application procedures; exceptional cases and exemptions; risk analysis; informing Customs Administration with the reference number; duties and responsibilities of the importer; sanctions and related measures.
