Abstract
The aim of this Notification is to ensure that the production of raw and and/or processed meat compounds are produced with the right technique and sanitary procedures. The Notification further defines the rules and procedures of the preparation, processing, packaging, conservation, storage, transportation and marketing of meat compounds. The Notification excludes rules and procedures on mechanically deboned meat. The food additives that may be used and veterinary medicine and pesticide residue limits in the products falling under this Notification’s mandate are determined by the Turkish Food Codex Regulation.
