Notification No. 2020/3 on import surveillance.

This Regulation lays down rules for new surveillance of imports of certain agricultural and food commodities through an exporter registration system. This requirement will apply to foreign exporters of commodities including tree nuts (almonds, walnuts, and cashews), peanuts, sunflower seeds, sunflower seed oil and other related products, tea, certain types of peppers, bananas, garlic, and several other products. The complete list of items subject to import surveillance takes place in Annex-I. The Ministry of Trade requires importers of these commodities to register each import shipment with a monitoring center.
