Notification on ralstonia solanacearum (smith) yabuuchi et al.’

This Notification sets forth the procedures and principles regarding the eradication of Ralstonia solanacearum. Systematic annual surveys will be carried out on the fields where certain plants are grown. These plants are listed in the Annex to the regulation. These surveys will be carried out by the provincial organizations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Survey findings are communicated to the Ministry each year on May 20. Upon verification of an occurrence, potatoes and tomatoes within the area are analyzed in accordance to the procedure defined in Annex II of the regulation. Infected materials, machinery, vehicles, vessels, warehouses and packaging materials will be either disinfected or destroyed.
