Abstract
This Program provides for the plant health and quarantine services, inspections over pesticides and plant protection products, and plant health education and extension services, for the year of 2025. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry shall carry out activities for combatting pesticide residues with due diligence in 2025, and all work in this context will be meticulously monitored and the necessary measures will be taken. The fight against pests will be carried out in accordance with the technical instructions. Surveys will be conducted in production areas for 34 quarantined pests that are known/unknown to exist in thecountry and are on the survey list. Quarantine measures will not be lifted in production facilities that are closed due to the detection of quarantine pests in accordance with the legislation, without the approval of the Ministry. Global climate change will be taken into account while conducting surveys for pests. Extreme plant health problems, such as population growth and epidemics, will be immediately reported to the Ministry to take the necessary measures. In order to avoid any negative impact on products exported to the European Union and the Russian Federation, producers will be informed about the monitoring and control of pests, and export controls will be strengthened, and necessary measures will be taken to prevent problems due to quarantine factors and pesticide residues in the recipient country. The Provincial/District Directorates will show utmost care to prevent the spread of plant diseases by strictly inspecting seed, seedling, sapling production areas and cultivation plots within the scope of the plant passport.
