Abstract
This Decree designates the plains with high agricultural production potential as major lowland protected areas to prevent soil loss and land degradation due to various reasons such as erosion, pollution, misuse. The borders of the designated major lowland protected areas are shown in the attached list and maps.

Entry into force notes
Subparagraph (a) of the first paragraph of Article 2, effective from 21/1/2017, Subparagraph (b) of the first paragraph of Article 2, effective from 2/6/2017, Subparagraph (c) of the first paragraph of Article 2, effective from 31/3/2018 enter into force on the date of publication, and other articles shall enter into force on the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
