Protocol on co-operation between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic in the field of protection and developmet of wild life.

This Protocol sets out a framework for co-operation on protection and development of wild life. The parties agree to co-operate upon scientific and technical research, exchange of information, experts and assistance, biological biodiversities (fauna), joint action, establishment of a joint committee and establishment of protected areas in the cross borders between two countries. It is further stated that, the objectives and activities to protect Northern Bald Ibis (NBI) and to combat illegal trafficking of buzzard, European goldfinch and white spectacled bulbul. The Protocol is valid for one year and will be automatically extended for another year if none of the parties terminate it with a six months notice.
