Abstract
This Regulation lays down rules for the establishment, structure, functioning and duties of the Agricultural Council. The Agricultural Council shall be the leading consulting institution for the development of strategies and studies in the fields of plant production; animal production; development of aquaculture; food production, safety and security; rural development; sustainable use and conservation of soil, water resources and biodiversity; capacity building and organization of farmers; planning of plant and animal production; efficient management of agricultural subsidies; agricultural market regulation; forest management and pastoralism; and the protection of environment. The Agricultural Council shall be comprised of the senior ministry officials, and the members of the universities, civil society organizations, trade association, and the private sector. The decisions taken by the Council shall be delivered to the relevant persons and institutions. The implementation of these decisions shall be monitored by the General Directorate of the Agricultural Council.
