Regulation Amending the Aquaculture Regulation No. 25507.

This Regulation introduces “Joint Fishery Area” as a new technical term defining the area where more than one fishery facility operates. The Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is authorized to identify such areas. The main criterion, especially for inland waters, is the quality of water. The quality and quantity of such waters will be assessed by experts from universities or fishery research institutions. The Regulation also amends some provisions regarding the administrative procedures for licensing fishery facilities.
