Regulation amending the Regulation on conservation of basins supplying drinking water.

This Regulation amends Article 6 of the Principal Regulation regarding the development of water basins conservation plans by the directorate general for state hydraulic works on the basis of technical and scientific studies to protect and improve the quality and quantity of surface and groundwater resources. Moreover, articles 7 and 8 are amended in relation to the freshwater resources management and extension of drinking water supply projects. This Regulation inserts new paragraphs to articles 9, 10, 11 and 12 regarding the prohibition for the establishment of solar power plant, wind power plant, hydroelectric power plant, thermal power plant, gasification plant, biogas plant and biomass plant in the protected areas, as well as, in short-, medium- and long-distance conservation zones.
