Abstract
This Regulation sets forth the procedures and principles governing the production and marketing of cereal seeds. Only companies and individuals authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs are allowed to produce such seeds. The Regulation lays down details concerning certification and registration procedures. Packaging and labelling requirements are given in Annex 7. Further provisions deal with minimum requirements to be met by imported seed. Certification is not required for seeds produced for purposes of scientific research or preservation of genetic resources, nor for seeds produced by farmers for their own use.
