Regulation on converting forest to non-forest area within the scope of additional article 16 of the Forest Law No. 6831.

This Regulation lays down the procedures and principles for registration of areas converted from forest to non-forest, where the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry considers that there is no benefit to conserve this area as a forest with scientific evidence and it is not possible to convert it into an agricultural land. This Regulation sets out provisions on the powers, duties, working procedures and principles of the forest cadastral commissions regarding the determination and conversion of forests of which the boundaries are determined by the President of the Republic, and other works and procedures to be carried out by the central and provincial units of the General Directorate of Forestry.
