Abstract
This Regulation lays down the duties and services to be performed by the officers and others responsible for preventing and extinguishing forest fires. This Regulation compels any person who notices fire or signs of fire in or near forests to immediately report this to the forest department or the nearest headman or gendarmerie security organization or officers or administrative authorities at all levels. In case of forest fires, all male population of the surrounding villages and towns who are over 18 and under 50 years of age are obliged to participate in extinguishing the fire. The forestry department shall prepare a plan for extinguishing forest fire and preventing its expansion.
