Abstract
This Regulation lays down measures to fight against pink bollworm in cotton production. The provisions of this Regulation shall apply to ginning factories, cotton producers, those who produce and trade unseed cotton, cotton pulp, cottonseed and oil cottonseed, and individuals and organizations that store, process and/or use cotton stalks and residues as raw materials. According to Article 5, cotton growers, processors, users and traders shall carry out technical cleaning operations in places where cotton is grown, processed, used and traded. Article 11 compels cotton growers to individually or collectively collect cotton stalks and residues at the post-harvest stage in cotton producing fields and destroy them using appropriate disposal methods. Administrative sanctions shall be imposed for the breach of the provisions of this Regulation in accordance with the relevant provisions of Article 38 of Law No. 5996.
