Abstract
This Regulation lays down minimum measures to be taken to combat Xylella fastidiosa and rules for determining the presence and spreading areas of Xylella fastidiosa, preventing its spread and regulating its eradication. It sets out provisions on annual surveys of the host plants for the detection of the specified pest; the establishment of contingency plan; the establishment of demarcated area where the presence of the specified pest is officially confirmed; eradication measures, such as removal or destruction of plants; containment measures; planting of specified plants in infected zones; movement of specified plants within the country; plant passport; traceability and official checks on movements of specified plants; and reporting on measures.
