Regulation of the General Directorate for State Hydraulic Works on protective measures for water courses.

This Regulation lays down rules for the responsibilities of real and legal persons interacting with water structures, and the procedures and principles regarding protective measures to be taken in services related to water structures to prevent possible harm and losses. This Regulation underlines that protective measures shall be taken taking into account environmental, social and economic conditions of each water structure and the right of other living creatures to access water. This Regulation sets forth provisions on the composition and duties of the Commission; preventive and protective measures for water structures and inspection; obligations of the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works and operators, governmental institutions, and real and legal persons; and water structures in the planning, project, construction and operation phases.
