Regulation on the High Council and Regional Committees for the protection of cultural assets.

This Regulation lays down provisions on the composition, duties and working principles of the High Council and Regional Committees for the protection of cultural assets. The duties of the High Council for the protection of cultural assets are set out in Article 6; such as determining the principles to be applied in the works related to the protection and restoration of the immovable cultural properties that need protection, and evaluating the objections made by public institutions and organizations and real and legal persons against the decisions taken by the Regional Committees for the protection of cultural assets. Furthermore, Article 11 sets out the duties of the Regional Committees, including registration of movable and immovable cultural and natural assets, protection areas and archeological sites designated by the Ministry, and classification of cultural assets that need protection.
