Regulation implementing articles 31, 32, 33 of the Forest Law No. 6831.

This Regulation lays down the procedures and principles of the determination, distribution, follow-up and control of individual and joint needs and cash payments to be given to the right holders within the scope of Articles 31, 32 and 33 of the Forest Law No. 6831. The provisions of this Regulation shall apply to villagers from the villages with productive state forests within their territorial borders, villages with unproductive State forests within their territorial borders, and towns with a population of less than 2500 that have a productive State forest within their borders. This Regulation provides for support to meet the individual or joint needs of villagers, such as: forest products for the construction or repair of houses, barns, haylofts, warehouses and chicken coop for the villagers living in villages that have been damaged by natural disasters, and fuelwood to be used for heating based on the current number of households and population in the village. The General Directorate of Forests shall monitor and inspect whether the items or the cash equivalent given to the right owners is spent appropriately, and in case of detection of non-conformity penal procedures will be applied in accordance with Article 98 of the Forest Law. It also explains in detail the issues, such as the identification of eligible villages and towns, the determination of populations and the entitlement.
