Abstract
This Regulation lays down provisions on the characteristics and classification of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), business types, and number of employees and financial data. The classification of SMEs is as follows: micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. Article 12 underlines that enterprises of which 25% or more of the capital of an enterprise is jointly or individually under the public control are not considered SMEs.
