Sectoral Policy on agricultural mechanization 2018-2022.

This Sectoral Policy is a national policy with a sectoral approach. The timeframe of this Sectoral Policy is 5 years between 2018 and 2022. This Policy lays down strategies for the development of agricultural equipment and machinery industry, in order to increase food and agricultural production in an effective and sustainable manner by meeting the priority needs. The strategies of this Policy are to improve research and development systems according to the needs assessment for machines and equipment of small-scale farmers; strengthen collaboration with cooperatives; encourage the participation of all stakeholders; enhance agricultural extension services; capacity building of farmers and technical personnel; and maximize the contribution to rural development.
