Abstract
This Treaty covering generally the good relationship between the two neighboring countries also contains a Protocol relative to the regulation of the waters of the Tigris and Euphrates and of their tributaries. It is about construction works to be undertaken by Iraq and the establishment of observation stations. Turkey shall keep Iraq informed of her plans for the construction of conservation works on either of the two rivers or their tributaries, in order that these works may as far as possible, be adapted, by common agreement, to the interests of both Iraq and Turkey.
