Abstract
This notification sets forth the the possible migration of lead and cadmium from ceramic materials into foodstuff. The Notification is composed of 12 articles and 4 annex clauses. The Notification is drafted in accordance with the European Council Directive on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to ceramic articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. Article. 8 of this Notification enters into force on June 2012, the rest of the articles enter into force on the day it is published in the Official Journal.

The provisions of this Notification are governed by the Minister of Food Agriculture and Livestock. This Notification repeals the Notification No. 2001/38 on ceramic materials intended to come into contact with foodstuffs dated 2001.
