Turkish Food Codex Notification No. 2024/6 on bee products.

This Notification lays down rules regarding the production, preparation, processing, preservation, storage, transportation and placing on the market of bee (Apis mellifera L.) products within the scope of this Notification in a technically appropriate and hygienic manner. This Notification covers bee bread, bee pollen, royal jelly, raw propolis, propolis, powdered royal jelly and dried pollen placed on the market as food or food supplements. It sets out provisions on food additives, flavorings and food ingredients with flavoring properties, contaminants, residues of pesticides and veterinary drugs, hygiene, packaging, labelling, sampling and analysis methods, and nutrition and health claims. Sanctions will be imposed on those who act contrary to the provisions of this Notification in accordance with the Law No. 5996.
