Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Shipping Act in relation to the use of distress signals by ships of Trinidad and Tobago navigating in Trinidad and Tobago waters. Signals of distress shall be those as set out in Annex IV of the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea 1972. The Regulations also define the offence of misuse of distress signals.
