Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Shipping Act in relation to the registration of ships in Trinidad and Tobago. They are divided into 5 Parts: First Registration (I); Changes and Alterations (II); Transfer, Commission and Mortgage (III); Registration of Government Ships and Abandoned Ships (IV); Miscellaneous (V).
The Regulations apply to all ships of 24 metres or more of length (reg. 3). Regulation 4 specifies the documents which shall accompany an application for registration under section 7 of the Act. Fishing vessels shall be given an identity mark upon completion of first registration (reg. 9). Regulation 11 provides for the marking of ships. The First Schedule contains various forms, the Second Schedule a list of fees. (41 regulations)
