Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Shipping Act in relation to special measures to enhance maritime security also for oil tankers and ships transporting hazardous substances and requirements for port facilities. They implement, among other things, the International Code for the Security of Ships and Port Facilities. Ships shall install security alert systems and have a ship security plan. There shall be a designated authority for purposes of implementation of the Code. A ship shall comply with relevant requirements of Part A of the Code.
