Abstract
This Act amends the Fisheries Act by inserting definitions of “driftnet” and “driftnet fishing activities” and by completely prohibiting such activities. A new section 14A makes it an offence for any person or fishing vessel whether local or foreign, from engaging in any driftnet fishing activities within Tuvalu’s fishery limits.
