Abstract
Regulations to make provision for the granting of licences to foreign fishing vessels and for the control of activities of foreign fishing vessels in the fishery limits.
The 25 regulations are placed under the following headings: Preliminary (1-2); The Grant of Permits to Foreign Fishing Vessels (3-5); Control of Foreign Fishing Vessels in the Fishery Limits (6-17); Enforcement (18-21); Offences and Miscellaneous (22-25)
Provisions concerning the control of foreign fishing include: Notification of intended arrival and departure (reg. 6), display of flags, call sign and permit number (regs. 7 and 8), log books (reg. 9), reporting (reg. 11), avoidance of set gear (reg. 13), placing of floating objects (reg. 14), transhipment (reg. 15), landing (reg. 16). (3 Schedules containing forms of fishing permits, application for a permit and catch reports)
