Abstract
This Act provides for the powers and responsibilities of officers of the government of Tuvalu in undertaking public procurement. This Act applies on the contract awarding through a procurement proceeding by considering the principles of transparency, economic efficiency, promotion of competition, fair and equitable treatment to all suppliers and promotion of public confidence. In Part 2 the Act provides for monitoring and reviewing mechanism and committee on procurement procedures. The Act further provides for offences and the right to challenge, forms and disclosure requirement of the outcome of procurement proceedings and making a record of the procedure. The Act contains 19 Articles divided into 5 Parts.
