Abstract
These Regulations, made under section 52 of the Cotton Industry Act, implement provisions of the Act with respect to, among other things: registration by the Tanzania Cotton Board of cotton growers, traders, processors, exporters, importers and ginners; observation by a cotton grower of recommended practices of good crop husbandry as prescribed under the Seventh Schedule to these Regulations; issuing of licences by the Board; quality control of seed cotton and lint and inspection of cotton; rules for contract farming; rules for marketing and sales of cotton; rules for the annual stakeholders meeting composed of key stakeholders from the cotton industry; and administrative matters regarding the Board.
