Abstract
The characteristics of palm oil shall be conform conditions as set out in the First Schedule attached to these Regulations (reg. 3). Quality requirements for edible palm oil, palm olein and palm stearin shall be conform conditions as set out in the Second Schedule attached to these Regulations (reg. 4). Sections 5 to 8 provide relative to packing, transport and storage of oils and fats. Carriers of palm oil shall be registered and acquire a carrier certificate (Schedule 3) and a movement permit (Schedule 4). Edible palm oil and fats shall be processed and packed under hygienic conditions prescribed by the Food Hygiene Regulations of 1982 (reg. 9). Section 10 provides for the marking of containers. Regulations 11 and 12 concern offences and penalties. (12 regulations completed by 4 Schedules)
