Abstract
These Regulations shall apply to all areas to which the Act applies and shall affect all types of food, whether locally produced or imported, which is (suspected of being) unfit for human consumption (reg. 2).
The 7 regulations carry the following titles: Citation (1); Application and scope (2); Interpretation (3); Voluntary surrender (4); Re-conditioning of food (5); Seizure of food (6); Procedure for disposal (7).
Unfit food may, at the discretion of the authorized officer and with the agreement of the owner of the food or his agent, be re-conditioned and be made fit for human consumption or other purposes (reg. 5). (Schedule: Sampling notification and receipt; certificate of voluntary surrender of foodstuffs; seizure certificate A; seizure certificate B; certificate of compulsory condemnation of foodstuff)
