Mining (Mineral Rights) (Amendment) Regulations, 2022 (GN No. 419of 2022).

These Regulations, consisting of six articles, amend the original Regulations by (i) introducing a definition for the Point of Sale (POS) Machine, an electronic device used to capture production records and sales transactions for industrial and building materials minerals; (ii) revising Article 5 to require holders of Primary Mining Licenses or Mining Licenses for industrial or building materials to use multiple POS Machines within the licensed area, electronically transmit all production and sales data to the Commission, and prohibit uninstalling the POS Application without consent; (iii) updating Article 18 with new provisions related to transactions; and (iv) adjusting the Schedules regarding fee amounts and application forms.
