Abstract
Articles which are produced locally or imported and which are found to be infested or suspected to be infested with Prostephanus Truncates by a Produce Inspector or an Officer of the Ministry of Agriculture, shall be fumigated or treated with insecticide by the owner or the person having possession of such article. If necessary to do so in the opinion of the Commissioner of Agriculture the article infested may be destroyed (rule 3). Rule 5 provides for the fumigation of vessels, aircrafts, vehicles, and buildings. Articles, vehicles or buildings may also be fumigated on order of the Inspector who shall recover the costs of the owner or possessor. Rules 8 and 10 provides for the control measures such as stopping and searching of vehicles, marking of areas, and the declaration of quarantine areas. Rule 11 provides for the destruction or treatment of maize fields. (11 rules)
