Abstract
Ordinance to make better provision for the prevention and introduction and spread of disease distructive to plants. Regulation making powers are vested in the Governor (sect. 3). Owners or occupiers of land shall take such measures as may be required under section 3 and other reasonable steps for in order to prevent plant diseases (sect. 4). Any inspector may enter land or buildings for the purpose of discovering pests or diseases in any plant (sect. 5). The Governor has the power to control the importation or exportation of articles likely to spread pests or diseases (sect. 8). (10 sections)
Notes
Repeals the Plant Pest and Disease Ordinance. Regulations made under the Ordinance shall not be affected and shall have effect as if made under the present Ordinance.The Ordinance was first enacted on 23 April 1937.
