Standards (Certification) Regulations, 2009 (G.N. No. 406 of 2009).

These Regulations, made under section 36 of the Standards Act, allow standards marks to be applied to any commodity or process only by a holder of a licence granted in accordance with the standards framed by the Tanzania Bureau of Standards. The application form for such licence is prescribed by these Regulations. A decision on the application shall be taken by the Director General of the Bureau after investigation as prescribed. These shall be a register of licensed manufacturers.
