Abstract
These Regulations contain a variety of rules relative to the growing of and trade in coffee and relative quality control.
Registration of coffee growers shall take place with the Tanzania Coffee Board. The Board shall be a unifying organ of various coffee industry stakeholders and shall coordinate all stakeholders' activities. Every coffee grower shall comply with all rules and regulations for proper farming, husbandry and grading of coffee, as provided in these Regulations and any other rules or guidelines, as may be prescribed by the Board from time to time. The Director responsible for Crop Development shall carry out control and apply control measures on the cultivation of coffee including measures for purposes of the Plant Protection Act, 1997. The Regulations also concern the grading of coffee, care of land on which coffee is cultivated, licensing of processors, coffee buyers and exporters, quality control and inspection.
