Abstract
Amendments of the principal Act provide: (a) a definition of "the Board": (b) a definition of "trophy dealer"; (c) adding sections 4 A, 4B and 4C after section 4 which establish a Wildlife Protection Unit, functions and administration of the Unit; (d) minor amendments to section 29; (e) for the Director to award a sum of money as a reward to anyone giving information leading to the recovery of a Government trophy; (f) adding new sections after section 69 establishing a Wildlife Protection Fund and a Board of trustees; (g) adding new sections after section 70 providing for the disposal of trophies, etc. during proceedings and for contraventions for unlawful possession of trophies belonging to another person; (h) amendments on penal provisions and provisions for the registration of persons previously convicted of offences against this Act.
